About Me

Yvonne Acosta Burgos
I graduated from George Washington University with a BFA in Interior Design. I worked as an interior designer in the DC Metropolitan area for many years including project management and contract work for Marriott International and design work for the US Department of State. While at the State Department, I worked on residences of Ambassadors, Deputy Chief of Missions, and Consul Generals, world-wide. During the last 5 years, I have worked out of the home with my own design consulting business, Personalized Interiors and Y.A.B. Design. I am a mother of 5 lively children who constantly challenge my design senses... And this is the reason I started this blog; to give practical design tips to busy moms everywhere so they can create a beautiful home that speaks to their soul.
